Bhojpuri is a regional language in west Bihar, north jharkhand, south Nepal & Uttar Pradesh., whereas Gujarati is the regional language of Gujarat & Saurashtra. . A Bhojpuri song is the heart of the Bihar music, where as Gujarati songs are the undetechable parts of Gujarati culture. Bhojpuri songs include folk songs, Hindustani classical music & film songs where as Gujarati songs include log geet, Bhajans, Gazals. & cultural folk’s songs etc.Some Bhojpuri songs can be sung without the help of instruments like dholaks, casios etc, and some with tablas and harmoniums are used. Where as Gujarati songs and music are like part of each other. Bhojpuri songs have lots of seductiveness in its lyrics where as in Gujarati songs the lyrics are traditional & primitive. Bhojpuri songs are colorful and it is usually heard in the holi festival , where as Gujarati  songs reminds us of navratri festival.Bhojpuri songs are seen in Bhojpuri films that are popular through out the masses . A huge crowd watches Bhojpuri movies, so the song included in them become very famous. Where as Gujarati movies have not gained too much importance amongst the masses. So Gujarati songs of the movies are less popular.Bhojpuri songs are famous for its item numbers, whereas Gujarati songs have maintained their culture in the songs. Lyrics of Bhojpuri songs are very bold and sensual, whereas Gujarati songs are morally and culturally bound. Bhojpuri songs have become famous as Bhojpuri movies have a strong hold in the industry, Where as gujarati songs have gained popularity by releasing albums & Audio Cds. Bhojpuri songs have increased the fan following of the actors like Manoj Tiwari & Ravi Kishen thru Bhojpuri Films Falguni phatak well known as dandia queen of the Gujarati folk songs has become popular by releasing the albums .Bhojpuri songs are played in transport like rickshaws & trucks , where as gujarati songs are played generally on occasions

None of the types of the songs are superior or inferior. Certain songs merged well with certain occasions in this large population density , some may wished to hear item songs while some may prefer cultural bounded songs. Indian music is so stable, so successful because of different types of songs, Gujarati as well as Bhojpuri songs.
