Devotional Songs In Hindi Films

Good music is like heaven to human years and if it is of devotional kind then the music is called Bhajan. Devotional Songs has large importance in Indian tradition. Bhajans are simple songs that express love towards God in very simple language. It is a very good source to show your emotions to God. People who sing these songs surrender themselves to God and get completely involve in the song while singing. There are Bhajan mandalis who sing these songs in a group.

Bollywood is a big industry in India these days and Hindi film songs are doing business of approximately Rs 7 billion a year from which devotional music itself is gaining Rs. 1 billion a year. Devotional music also plays very important role in Hindi films. These songs touch the emotions of people and people get attract towards the film.

Remember that in India people has high belief in God and people easily get attract towards the things which is related to God. So, if a Hindi film contains one or 2 devotional songs then it will definitely gain profit. That’s why producers are making movies like “Hanuman”, “Ganesh”, etc. In these movies they are trying to show lives and glories of these Gods and Goddesses. In many movies, like “Baiju Bawra”, “Seema”, “Ankush”, etc contain 1 or 2 devotional songs. These movies always give some message to people and have so many popular devotional songs. Some of these devotional songs are “Man tadpat hai darshan ko aaj”, “Tumhi ho mata, pita Tumhi ho”. Students use to sing some of these songs daily in their school at assembly time in morning.

There are many singers from Hindi film industry who are related with devotional music. Some of those famous singes are Lata Mangaeshkar, Sonu Nigam, Anuradha Paudwal, etc.

So, popularity of devotional music in Hindi film industry is increasing day by day.
