Indian’s Crowning Glory Style

Indians are known for its long straight hair but some of its countrymen especially those who live in South India have wavy or curly tresses. Indian’s hair quality is coarse and thick making all hairstyle possible. Most of Indian’s hairstyle lacks in tradition but instead shows elegance and easily identifiable. Buns and braids are common Indian hairstyle. Hairstyles may be passed on the next generations but younger girls in India do lot of experimentations with their hair.

Traditionally common hairstyle is putting some flower in your hair; especially jasmine. When they attend occasions then they add some sequins or beads to their hair. When you want a new Indian hair style then you must consider the shape of your face. Oval shaped face carries any type of Indian hairstyle. That is why most female Indian styles their hair in a way giving illusion that they have oval shaped face.

Another common hairstyle is braid. This is perfect for a long hair lady. This kind of hairstyle will make a tangle and dirty free hair. Braid can be done in several ways, French braid or fishtail are example of it. In earlier age, two braids symbolizes unmarried woman while single braid symbolize the opposite. They accessorize braids with ribbons, rubber bands and clips and some of Indian women adorn them with fresh flowers.

A traditional look is a hair style in bun with beads or flowers. Buns serve its purpose to Indian women who have long coarse hair and they are also worn at formal events and parties.  Buns were usually worn by women high in their heads with traditional cloth as covering. You can do some experiment with your buns by trying them lower. Many brides choose this as their hairstyle. Brides wear traditional large bun surrounded by braid and accessorize with pearls and clips
