Galley kitchens- small space kitchens
These kitchens are long and narrow. They have two counter tops that are separated. This design is suitable for smaller sized kitchens. An average length is 8×3 feet long. Nonetheless, there are other modern designs that have been established for this flooring style. To make the kitchen feel bigger, a small window looking into the dining room can be created. This design has the stove on one side and the fridge and sinks on the other.
L-shaped with island
These are popular designs that are suitable for both big and small kitchens. They allow for flexibility of the available space. For instance, a small kitchen can allow for some space suitable for a dining spot. It can be in the form of a circle or rectangle. If the space in the kitchen is bigger, you can include an island. Before you decide on the exact location of the island, it is important to take proper measurements of the place where the doors will be swinging will not be hitting the island. Main appliances in this design are located at close proximity for easy use.
