Music in Bengali Songs and the Instruments that make it Sound Melodious

There have a lot of additions to the Bangla music bands as now Bangla songs is appreciated and loved by listeners. ‘Shironamhin’ a new band to Bangla industry is wrapped-up with efficient and enthusiastic young musicians and lyrics writers. They have released their debut album ‘Jahaji’ under the township of ‘G- Series’.

The band album encompasses of eleven songs carrying melodious strong songs. The group is working on latest rock music trend of alternative rock. The album consists of some songs which are complete fusion, rock-fusion. The released band album includes music members Tanzeer, Farhan, Jewel and Harmonica (on guitar), A. Y. Tushar (on bass guitar), Kazi Shahin (on drums) with instruments ‘Sarod’, ‘Dotara’ and many other touchy soft music pads.

Another music band titled as ‘Bhoomi’ was formed in the year 1999 aims at reviving the folk Bangla music while making folk music as most popular amongst all sections of the music communities by compiling the music footnotes with complete urban touch. This band was started with only two supportive members as ‘Surojit Chatterjee’ and ‘Soumitra Roy’. The two members thought of trial with the traditional music sounds, rock and fusion mingled together-with the soft ‘Bengali Folk Music’ blended with western song and Indian instrumentation.

Bhoomi’s  musical journey started in Kolkata through inspiring hearts, minds with their quality stunning band performances in each district/towns and even the capital cities including Bakreswar, Farakka, Harishchandrapur, Durgapur, Chuchura, Kolaghat, Jalpaiguri, Siliguri, Chanchol, other places of Bengal and country.

To highlight this is the only band which identifies ‘urban folk’. This band combines fusion of sounds with urban lyrics of Bangla rural folk music as ‘Baul’. This is an early style of music by drifting minstrels in rural Bengal and Bhatiyali. The band has made efficient harmonious efforts for Bengali Songs and the Instruments that make it Sound Melodious for remixing the old style of music, rap or fusion with old folk songs. This is the reason as why this band is also known as ‘Modern Urban Bangali Band’.
