The foundation stone of the Polish music was put down by the rites and rituals of the Roman Catholic Church and church music had become well established by the Renaissance. Polish composers from this period practiced baroque religious music. Polish Christmas season is the longest in the world and carols are being performed in the church on the Christmas Eve and it lasts until February 2nd.Famous singers are Krzysztof Klenczon, Seweryn Krajewski, Piotr Becza?a, Wojciech Belon, Marek Grechuta and Stanis?aw Grzesiuk.
